Science: The students have been in the lab dissecting owl pellets.

Social Studies: We have been working on Wax Museum and women in history.

Writing: We started a writing assignment about a few Dr. Seuss books and quotes.

Welcome to 5th grade at Guthridge Elementary! This is my very first year as a teacher. I am excited to teach and learn along side the students this year. While I love all subjects, I am especially excited to teach science and explore new adventures. I come from a long line of teachers in my family; therefore, teaching is in my blood. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them become well-rounded, responsible, and successful individuals. I grew up on a farm in Fort Scott, Ks with a big family including five younger brothers. In 013, I married my best friend, Dale Brauer, who teaches math at Parsons High School. We currently live in Girard, Ks with our dog, Duke. I am looking forward to a great year where we can learn from one another and begin to grow as individuals!
